Tuesdays 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Thursday Evenings (2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month)

Art Classes

Jenny Cools Painting Our art classes are FULL (beyond full, actually) but don't despair!
We have added a Drop In Art time on Fridays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Pay $5 and stay all day.

Drop In Activities

BCS has drop-in games on Tuesdays (Bridge, Euchre), Wednesday (Cribbage, Bingo) and Thursdays (Cribbage) and our Rhythm Kats practice on Friday mornings. Times for all activities can be found on our Calendar page.

Exercise Classes

We are pleased to announce an exciting new Fall Exercise Program at Bow Cliff Seniors. We have two instructors offering programs: Lynn Bridge and Kim Winsor. Lynn is teaching at a number of different centres and is exciting to join our team. Kim is also an experienced instructor and has been teaching at BCS since July.

All classes are $5 for drop in; preregister and save 5%.

20/20/20 - Mondays 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm

20 minutes of gentle cardio, 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of flexibility and balance. Very popular in other centres, so we're happy to bring it to our membership.

Cardio, Strength & Balance - Tuesdays 11:05 am to 12:05 pm

20 minutes of cardio with simple choreography and plenty of gradual transitions from one movement to the next. Strength training and stretching will be done from a seated or standing position. A gradual cool down which will include balance and coordination activities. Toe tapping music and a variety of equipment (everything from towels to balloons to marbles and ping pong balls). Who know exercise could be this much fun?

Chair Fitness - Mondays 11:00 am to 12:00 pm;
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:05 am to 11:05 am

A gentle exercise class which focuses on functional fitness and fall prevention. The majority of the class will be from a seated position. A small proportion of the activities will be from a standing position while holding onto the chair. Improve your cardiovascular fitness and increase your strength. We will do fun-filled mental challenges to improve your coordination and your balance. The flexibility exercises will increase your range of motion and make daily tasks easier. There will be plenty of surprises with innovative equipment including everything from fly swatters to balls, parachutes and even rubber chickens. Don't miss it!

Older Adult Dance - Thursdays 11:05 am to 12:05 pm

No partner required. A delightful mixture of four types of dance (old time, pattern, novelty and easy/beginner level). Improve your muscular endurance and balance. Challenge your memory with pattern recall. Stretching component will be included too. Come for fun, fellowship and motivational music.
